As there is no specific thread on ferries I will have to post this here. The Money Mail (via the Evening Standard) is reporting that the Seacat service between Dover and Calais is closing down for good next Monday. They made a loss of £27m last year and cannot compete against the ferries or the Eurotunnel shuttle. So the end of an era for the company that once operated the dear old Hovercrafts.
