I am sure the answer is somewhere but cannot find it !!!
On the Maldives seaplanes there appears to be a 20kg weight allowance, is this just for suitcase ?
Or total weight including hand luggage and suitcase etc ?
Surely the same luggage and hand allowance? They can't expect you to get rid of 5kgs of hand luggage can they?
Maybe they take the suitcases by boat? In fact I'm sure I have read somewhere thats what they do.

20KG hold luggage and 5KG hand luggage. Cost of excess is $2 a kg
