I got back yesterday from Sentido Perissia

Sorry no kids , so cant help with main request , but it is a fantastic
hotel , with a great staff.

Main pool is mega safe for kids, also life guards that seem to pay attention.

High chairs were freely available, also VERY clean

The water slides seem too attract all ages of kids, separate life guard . great fun

Any question s , please ask

Will do !

But the problem is the 'change ' of name ,
perhaps a merger of the two hotels threads as they relate to the same hotel!!

or a closing/locking of the Paloma Perissia thread.

Found the hotel - couldn't find it initially as it wasn't under Paloma as the rest were but under Paloma :duh Have changed the name to Sentido and merged your review. Cheers :tup

Hi, we;'ve just booked a week in October with Thomas Cook. It all looks lovely but I've just one worry. Our booking says we've a French Balcony but I can't find out what this is. Its important for us to be able to sit out on the balcony. TC weren't very helpful one said we'd be able to the other that we couldn't. do any of you know about this?

Also from this forum there seems to be some concern over AI, is this now respoved.

many thanks :)

Welcome to the forums lmfoo1. I have no personal knowledge of this hotel, but French balconies are generally not for sitting on. Images HERE may give you an idea. Some may be just deep enough to stand on, but they are more commonly seen just decorated with plant pots.

Hi lmfoo1 - We got back from Perissia yesterday. Most of the rooms seem to have just a french balcony, unless you have a one bedroom family "suite" which have a full balcony off the bedroom and a french balcony off the living area, or ground floor rooms which also all seemed to have a full balcony. With a french balcony you have sliding doors which open out onto a balcony about a foot wide, if that, so you can just about stand out on it, depending on the size of your feet! We specifically booked a room with a balcony because we like to sit out of an evening (and I go out there to smoke!), but I know we paid a lot more for the room. Any other questions, please feel free.

Happy holidays!

Hi, thanks all for your comments. I have emailed the hotel to request a normal size balcony, as we like to sit out with a glass of wine in the evenings!! So far no reply, have chased today with Turkish trasnlation so maybe they will reply this time.

Good to hear so many have had a lovely time there.
regards
Lesley :)

Hi anice, am I right in thinking you have been to Lykia? If so how did you find this hotel in comparison please?

Just caught up with this

Also from this forum there seems to be some concern over AI, is this now respoved.

The hotel is AI

glass of wine in the evenings!

You can always ( and I am talking 'july i.e high season ) find a quiet spot to knock back the vino.

Lesley - Perissia is definitely AI (the same AI for all nationalities - saw a thread on another site about this!). I enjoy a drink on the balcony too - when I'm getting ready to go out in the evening or when I get back and the kids are in bed. We just ordered up some drinks from the Bacchus Bar and took them up to our room. Or you could order from room service which is absolutely free of charge after midnight (gave a tip though), but at a charge during the day.

Hi Pamplemousse! I'm just off on the school run but will come back to you re Lykia.

there was a mix up with our booking when we stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and although we had only booked a normal room and balcony, we were put in a suite with views over the bay from the magnificent balcony. However that was on a temporary basis and we were to be moved the next day.
As the room was so lovely we decided to upgrade, and if I remember rightly it was about £50 for the week. Well worth it, and if, when you get there you are not totally happy with your room, ask to upgrade. its a huge hotel and I'm sure out of peak season you would have no problem upgrading.

Hi pamplemousse - sorry for bit of a delay replying. Have you been looking at this hotel for next year then? It's a great hotel and I have nothing to complain about but it lacks that little something that's hard to put into words. In some ways this hotel is a lot better than LW - firstly with regard to the price! We paid a bit less for all inclusive here than we would have for full board at LW. Our room was bigger, brighter, better equipped, and had a corner jacuzzi bath, we found the staff genuinely friendlier, the main pool area was bigger with more sunbeds and more room, the beach was sandy, everything was flatter(!), a lift took us to our fourth floor room, it was easier to get a table in the restaurants, the nearest town (Side) was better for shopping, hotel facilities were all close at hand. In other ways LW is way ahead: children's paradise, kids club facilities, hours, activities and staff can't be beaten, teen activities are available, choice of pools and quiet areas, evening entertainment is much better, not just the shows but the after-show parties and dancing, the picturesque scenery, nighttime beachbar, dinner in beachfront Marina restaurant with sunset thrown in free, the fantistic food. I think LW's breakfast has spoilt me for ever.

There is nothing I could fault at the Sentido Perissia. Other guests couldn't recommend it highly enough and if we hadn't already been to LW we would probably return here, but I think there are other similar or better 5* AIs in Turkey for us to try (that is if we can't get booked in at the right price for LW again!).

Just read this, after replying on the LW topic. You have summed up here perfectly how I felt about Royal Wings compared to Lykia World!

Hi All, Can anyone give me the correct E-mail address for the Sentido Perrissia in Side, all the one's I have tried have been returned as not delivered. Thanks in advance.

Hi garykim ... have you tried this one ?

Email address: info.perissia@sentidohotels.com
Website: http://www.sentidohotels.com/hotels/overview/Turkey/Turkey-Side/Perissia/

Note just the one 'r' in Perissia, I see that you are using two, which may perhaps be the problem.

Can anyone help? What is the difference between the rooms at this hotel. Standard Sea View -v- Superior Sea View rooms?? There are only 2 pictures displayed for this hotel. 1 is a bedroom, 2 beds + area with settee and two chairs. 2 is a bedroom, 2 beds + seperate living room with 2 settees.

Very confusing as looking at different booking sites and some are stating there are also family rooms and also suites!!

If this is the case then would presume the larger of the two pictures is in fact suites but would appreciate knowing the difference and what the extra price is from the standard -v- superior??

Can anyone help please ...xxx :)
