The hotel is spread out in blocks of about 4 (i think at most) floors.
Each block called something to do with flowers, eg ours was Habiscus House, and there was a Sunflower house etc.

It isn't just 1 building, it covers a wide area.

We didn't pay for a sea view room when we went last October, but had a sea view room anyway as by October the resort is quieter than it is in the middle of summer. Other wise your view will either be of the pools or the gardens.

Don't know what the best room number to have is, couldn't really say that 1 particular room number is any better than another.

Its a very good hotel and has a lot going on for both adults and kids. It close enough to San Antonio Bay and Town for a lively time and also far enough away for a quiet time without being isolated.

Thanks ever so much thats a great help. I need to ring Airtours up anyway to book our seats together on the plane so I will request a seaview and hopefully like you we may get one as it is October.

We have stayed at the Seaview for the last couple of years, absolutely fabulous place you will have a great time. The last two years we were lucky enough to be in 'Petunia' House. Excellent views either side of this house, overlooking the pool at the front towards San An or overlooking the small beach to the rear. Loads to do at the Seaview, the hotel is immaculately clean, safe & secure. It has the lot. For people who have stayed there previously they operate a VIP system where you can ask for a specific room if you intend to go back the next year. You also get drink vouchers and some free sports/gym sessions. You never know you might be able to specify this House as October should be less busy. Last year Airtours said that it could not guarantee the Seaview room that we had booked despite us booking up some 12 months prior, but I contacted the hotel direct and they sorted the problem out with no hassle. I have never had any problems with Airtours other than this but would always recommend contacting the Hotel direct should Airtours not come up with the goods. Excellent customer care from the Sirenis Group who run this Hotel. Hope you have a great time & that the weather stays hot for October, we are all going back in August.

Your post is really informative, thanks so much. I have not booked a seaview via Airtours as you have to pay quite a lot of extra money to do this. However, you are able to request it and as you say wth it being October, maybe quieter it is possible that we may get one without having to pay all that extra money.

I will contact the Hotel direct as you suggest.

I am so glad to hear that the Hotel and complex is all that the brochure says it is. I am so excited that I can't wait. Fingers crossed the weather will hold for October. Last year at this time we went to Benidorm and we had temperatures near 30 degrees so we could be lucky here too, whatever it is definitely going to be warmer than England so we can steal a last bit of summer before heading for winter.

I have managed to unearth a plan of the complex from last years bits & pieces so here goes. Geranium House is situated as part of the main Hotel where you will find reception, cinema, bars etc. Very close by is Petunia House, which, in my opinion gives the best position for roomviews and is close enough for dining room, bars, etc. Hibiscus House is the furthest away from the main building (Geranium House). Almond House & Sunflower House are positioned close by the Pool but depending on your room number you could be right on the pools edge or quite a distance away. Depending on whether you are staying HB or SC and the number of your party usually determines your room type (Studio or 1 Bdrm Apartment). The SC 1 bedroom apartments are fantastic, very roomy, fabulous double balcony, our room number written on the plan for last year was 5301. These rooms are situated on the Upper Floors. We absolutely LOVE this hotel, and my husband wants to book for summer 2006 already...

We are going to San Antonio Bay next Sunday (8th May) but only as a quick cheap weeks holiday we found on the net, staying at the Playa Bella, but sooo wish we were staying at the Seaview!
We will make a visit there, and possibly spend some time by their pool to remind ourselves how lovely it is..

We have been here twice and it was brilliant. The kids loved every minute!

We didnt book a seaview room but we were lucky enough to get one both times anyway - cant remember the house name but it was a self catering room across the pool from the main building and you had to go downstairs to get to it.It faced the sea and had a large forecourt area to sit out on.

Exactly as you described: Hibiscus , Petunia, Sunflower, Almond, Geranium. Hibiscus btw is my favourite: you cannot hear any noise from the pool/entertainment area and usualy have splendid sea view

Hi, just registered for the site, as I was looking for info on the Sirenis Seaview Country Club.

We are looking to book up to go there on Friday October 7th 2005 for a week.

However, we are undecided whether to book S/C or H/B as our son (will be 23 month when we travel) is a bit picky with his food.

I read on another thread that if you book S/C, it is possible to upgrade to H/B at the hotel, either per day, or for the week.

has anyone done this, and can anyone confirm the cost of these options for this season?

We travelled to the Sirenis Seaview last year for the exact same week and are currently keeping an eye on the prices for 7th October as well and are also travelling with a 2 year old.

We went self catering last year and will do so again this year.
I e-mailed Rebecca in reception at the Seaview before we went last year and she gave me the list of prices and options for upgrading while you are there to half board. It is cheaper if you pay for the whole week in one block, but from memory it was €15.90 for an evening meal in the buffet restaurant and about €20.00 for half board but obviously this reduced if you paid for the whole week.

Also if you are half board i'm pretty sure you could pay to have the kitchen section of you room unlocked so you get the best of both worlds.

We only paid for the buffet restaurant on our first night as we were tired and didn't want the hassle of finding somewhere to eat. The buffet was excellent, but so is the snack bar by the meal which doubles as a restaurant in the evening. We found that we could eat a meal with drinks for the 3 of us for between €15 and €20 in San Antonio Bay which is about a 10 minute walk away or a minute on the bus which starts it route outside the hotel.

The Seaview is a great hotel for anyone with children as the pools are very shallow, there are kids reps working all day to keep the kids entertained and a mini disco and games at night as well.

Nearly everyone staying here had kids of all ages.

Also if you are half board i'm pretty sure you could pay to have the kitchen section of you room unlocked so you get the best of both worlds.

I would not be so sure about this part: I do remember reading SeaView reviews where people said that in HB rooms, kitchen space was arranged to be an additional storage shelf. Though they mentioned that fridge could be separately rented and delievered into the room.

I do not know this for sure from own experience because also stayed in SC (almost at the same time: last week of September) and going again in 5 days, this time for 2 weeks.

I booked up last night with Airtours, for 7 nights from 7/10/05, and have gonne for a S/C studio with a sea view.

We wanted to be able to make a coffee in the room, and also snacks for the bairn if/when needed, and hopefully have a fridge to keep his pop/milk cool.

We will also enquire about the meal options/upgrading when we get there. I emailed the hotel, but they haven't replied yet.

Looking forward to the holiday, as all the reviews I have seen about the Sirenis Seaview have been very good/excellent.

We have been to San Antonio before (stayed at Hotel Arenal), so we know what it is like there. But hopefully Port Des torrent will be far enough away, and have enough to do, that we won't rely on going into San An. every day/night...but also close enough that we can pop along for a change.

Port D'es Torrent itself is actually across the beach and up some steps from the Seaview.

There is also a little park nearby, joined onto the local police social club.

Theres plenty going on in the hotel itself without having to go into San Antonio Town or bay.

Just got a reply this morning from 'Rebeca' at the Sirenis Seaview, regarding my query about HB options on arrival.

The costs for this year are as follows (copied direct from email):

1 day HB ---------- 20 euros per person
1 week ------------ 17,20 euros person/day
2 weeks ---------- 14,60 euros person/day
Children from 3 till 12 have 50% discount.

Despite asking in my original email, there is no mention of a cost for meals for an under 2 year old.

From the list above, is it safe to assume that there may be no charge for under 3's ?

we went to the country club 6th october 2004 and there is plenty going on in the hotel so that you dont have to go outside the hotel although we enjoyed the walk down to the bay in the evening just to pass the time and a change of scenery for the little one and to stop and have a nice drink whilst she played in the one of the bars with a little playground in. There is a little play area in the hotel, well in the outside, where they can climb and go through little tunnels whilst you sit and watch but watch out for the grumpy old people in the hotel rooms up above who might moan about the noise that the children make at 9pm!!!!!!!!!!

stayed here couple year ago, it was end sept and weather was brilliant. the hotel was great we had top end room here front balcony faced the pool and you could walk round side and look over the sea. food was good with separate serving area for the kids. entertainment was as you expect but really nice atmosphere about the hotel.

Well, just back from the Seaview, and had a decent week.

Will submit a proper review in due course, but we were generally impressed with the hotel itself, and the complex.

However, we found there wasn't much to do locally to the hotel, and found ourselves hopping on the bus, or walking along to San Antonio bay (roughly 45 minutes walk to the Marina/Town).

We stayed Self Catering, and didn't upgrade to HB in the end, due to our little boy being very picky with his food. Mealtimes in the restaurant would have been a nightmare!!

Would definitely recommend the Seaview for people with kids, however, I think at 23 months, he was still a bit young for most of the activities on offer. Defo better for kids over 5.

Would go there again, but after going to Ibiza twice this year, we may leave it a year or two before going back.

Slightly off topic.. ujpest doza, I read another thread you posted on, and you mention you have a 2 year old daughter.

I think you may have been just behind us at check-in at Ibiza Airport on Friday. The wife and I had our 23 month old son in his buggy, and had our 2 cases on a trolley.
