Its our silver wedding in july and me and my wife would like to go for a week away with some sun in a nice hotel with also something to do and see in the daytime if possible , we have done the beach holidays for many years throughout europe and would like to do something different with a bit relaxation if possible.
We have thought about a cruise, lake garda, and new york , but I know for a fact we would still end up trudgeing about doing tours etc .
P.S my wife does not like flying for more than 5-51/2 hours and we live in Newcastle so flights are less than easy to get for some destinations, please can anyone help
Cape verde is also coming popular, just off African coast lower than canaries ( not been there so can't comment )

What about Italy? My parents took a tour of Italy for their silver wedding and loved it. There was plenty of downtime too. I'm sory but I cant remember who it was with though.
Have you ever thought of a cruise

Hubby and i went on the thomson spirit for our honeymoon and then the year after we went on the destiny. They were both fantastic

I have got to say my husband REALLY DIDNT want to go on a cruise as he cant swim and was terrified of water but he tried it and now he is hooked. If we ever get to go away on our own we would never do anything but a cruise.
Have a think about it. you would have a brilliant time.
Kerrie
