Similar resort to Lindos or Hersonissos???

Hi All
I'm looking for a resort which is similar to the above 2 which we loved and had the right mix of nationalities & were lively without attracting a really young crowd - I want a busy resort with plenty of bars and restuarants but I dont want it to feel like 'mini England' - loads of english bars and teenagers ( we are a couple in our mid 30's ). As we fly from Newcastle, we are limited to the main islands, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Crete is big enough to have something to suit all tastes. One of the few islands to have big beaches, if you want them. Chania or Rethymnon would seem suitable.
Parga, which you will normally reach from Preveza airport. Lots of posts on its own page on this site.
You can probably fly to Skiathos, Samos (also very large and handy for Ephesus trips), Corfu (starting to get a bit noisy ... see Corfu page) and a few others.
If you don't mind a one hour ferry trip then at least a dozen others spring to mind. Wherever you go, you will enjoy it. Good luck.

I agree about Crete.
You also could look at Kefalonia or Halkidiki - I know Olympic fly from NCL as that's who we went with to both places.
