My Stepmum and some of her friends are going on a Titan tour of Florida. Theres 3 of them going and they have booked 1 twin and 1 single, requested rooms together.
They are worried that they will get a pokey room with a single bed. I have reasured them that they wil be ok as most rooms have 2 double beds in. In USA.
They hotels they are staying in are Holiday Inns, Radison and Hilton so all good hotels.
I have tried to find how many rooms each hotel has and if there is any singles but not had much luck.
Can any one offer any advice.
The rooms at US hotels in general accomodate from 1 to 4 persons and the charge is per room, not per person,so you don't need to book a 'single' room as you might in the UK.
I should have added that when you want a 'twin' room, just book a room with 2 beds, they will both be double size beds. If you book a room with one bed it will generally be a King size bed. Hope that makes sense.
Can you let me know exactly which hotels they'll be staying in please? Will then see if we have them in reviews
I`ve also had a look on Holiday Inn, Hilton and Radison web sites again no mention of how many rooms.
I was going to email hotels direct but not all emails are listed.
The ladies traveling are all over 60 and hope to have rooms together for piece of mind. They have paid a fair bit for the single supplement. Titan are generaly very good but they have done a similar tour to this before and ended up on different floors. I know the answer would be to all share a room but I dont think they fancy top to tail in the same bed if you catch my drift.
They go next week and I would like to be able to put their minds at rest before they travel.
You won't find any hotel listing 'single' or 'twin' rooms-if they are staying at some small country inn or bed and breakfast you might, but as I said the average hotel/motels all have either one King size bed or two double beds and most people specify which they want when booking. The price will be the same whether one or two occupy the room.
If three wish to share it's no problem, you can ask for a room with two beds and then ask for a 'cot' as they call them in the US- a rollaway bed.
The New Holiday Inn, Tallahasse,
Holiday Inn Sunspree resort, Key Largo,
Holiday Inn, Naples.
We managed to get abit of info on Radisson and HIlton hotels.
All of these hotels will have the same choices- smoking or non smoking, 1 bed or two bedded rooms. The one bed will be a King and the two bed will be double beds- no single beds or twin beds.
No 'single' (UK style) rooms here.
You'll find hotel info here.......
Holiday Inn Tallahassee North/I10 & US27, Florida
Holiday Inn Tallahassee Capitol East, Florida
Holiday Inn Key Largo Resort, Florida
