Hello Everyone,
My partner and I have just booked a holiday at the Kalloni Bay hotel in Skala Kalloni for June 2013. We are looking forward to a quiet and relaxing holiday. Has anyone stayed here before? and do you have any useful tips for us? Places to eat, visit etc. We are planning to hire a car whilst on the Island.
Personally I have stayed in Molyvos before but we choose Skala Kalloni as I have read it is much flatter as my partner has mobility problems and can only walk short distances (we do have the use of a wheelchair) I appreciate the roads and walkways will not be perfectly flat and will be cobbly but can anyone who has been to Skala Kalloni before advise on what to expect? Any information is much appreciated.

I dont know the island of lesvos personally and we do not have any current hotel reports, so i have had a nose around a few trusted sites, the area appears fairly flat [see google earth] the apartments are on the Skala Kalloni main road,and the hotel has a good rating by repeat visitors

Hi; when last on Lesbos, I visited Skala Kalloni, which was certainly very flat. Very quiet, very spread out, and very good indeed if you are partial to sardines. My recommendation would have been Petra, which is also pretty flat - except, of course, for going uo to the church on the top of the rock that gives the village it's name.
