Trying to decide on whether to stay at Villa Apollon in Archlaides Beach
or in town at Alkyon Hotel 2 weeks end of august begin Sept.

having read reviews both appear to be good for diffferent reasons. Can anyone answer some questions to help me decide:-
1) Villa Apollon - how far walk is it from villa to beach?
Is it on a steep hill?
What is the beach like - nice sand, clear sea?
looks like there is a road in front of villa inbetween beach, is there any traffic noise.
Are the studios nice, good view from balcony?
Any other info on this hotel, good or bad would be appreciated.

2) Alkyon Hotel
Do all the rooms have sea/harbour view.

General Questions
Is it best to stay in town and then travel out to beaches each day?
or vice versa?
Weather - whats it like last week august, first week sept.
Still hot I hope?

We like to go out every night and visit different bars, eat at different restaurants.
But also to spend the day at good beach, with nice beach bar or tavernas on the beach..

Do the water taxis visit all beaches and do they run at night, how late
from say town to Archlaides?
