Hi. Your best bet would be to go for a catered chalet holiday. Chalets often have a whole range of different rooms sleeping different numbers of people, including singles. They also come in a wide range of prices too, so you can take your pick.Added to that, they're great for singles because there's lots of other people to mix with. Hotels can be a bit lonely on your own.

thanks for that.

I have stayed in shared self catering chalets before. The trouble is cheapish accommodation is full of gap year students doing 'a season'. in fact I stayed in a shared chalet once and was assured by the company that it was reserved for older people quote 'e.g. self employed business people who are staying for a few weeks'. sounds goo eh? Based on their assurances I booked it. When I turned up the average age was 19-21. The 19 years only ever grunted at me, it was horrible. There was a 27 year old and a not very nice couple in there late 30's, but the 10 others in the chalet were young dudes.

I think camper vanning is the best way (its long drive though!)
