Does that money have to include food, or is that included in your holiday? 200 quid is about 265€, so if you have to pay for meals I would think that it's a bit low for a couple.

Sorry Gem, still not being much help am I! Do you have to buy food out of that, are you intending to take any trips, buy souvenirs or booze, fags etc etc to take back?

How long is a piece of string?

It all depends on what you want to do while you're there.

If you're going to laze about the pool all day and go for a quiet drink at night you'll spend less than if you're going to go out on trips during the day and go drinking, clubbing, etc every night.

As a rough guide I would say you will need the same in Euros as you would spend in pounds on a similar holiday at home.

So, if you think £300 will do you on a similar holiday at home then 300 Euros should do you in Lanzarote.

It's only a guide though. :)
But it works for me :)

£200 is a good amount to take for one person. Especially as you're lounging around all day. You'd just have to eat in the cheaper places for lunch - which there are plenty of - and not go daft. You can then afford a nicer meal in the evening. Eating out is reasonably cheap really.
If there is a few of you, you could put together, go to the supermarket and buy some bread, salad and meat to last the three days for lunches, if you have a fridge and utensils. Plus buying your pop and water in bulk for the three days, thus saving on pool bar/bar prices. This would save a lot, and provide more money for the evenings.

If you go out drinking, I would recommend buying a bottle of wine (Sangre de Torre is one of my favourites) in a bar or restaurant, which was about 10-12 euros, and it goes further, as well a tasting lovely. The beer and spirit prices can be more expensive. The cocktails seemed to be about 4 or 5 euros, the spirits plus a mixer were about the same price. Pint of british beer was about 5 euros. I don't really like beer, so can't really tell you the prices of the local beer.

Taxis are reasonably priced.

Have a good time. Wish I was coming with you xx
