I've heard so many conflicting reports...
We are staying all-inclusive, so spending will pretty much be tipping, paying for extra services such as spa treatments, and the occasional treat.
So, do we take the Turkey currency (whatever that is lol!), Euro's or UK pounds?
Euros are the most acceptable foriegn currency in Antalya. But why not use Lira?
they will accept most currencies ,but things in this area are generally priced in euros, so its really down to you what you feel happiest with, the exchange rate for lira is usually higher in turkey than the uk and if you change in a bank over £100 you normally get a better rate too, its around £2.52 lira to the £ today
So how much should we tip?
For example - we have our cases carried to our room? Or when we get served drinks at the bar?
We always used to take sterling and change it when we got there, that is until we got our Nationwide flex card.
There is a currency converter site XE that gives you the current rate. Its interesting to compare it to M&S,Post office and travel agents exchange rates.
