We went to PEK with our 13yr old son beginning of April last year. Do take some warm clothes as it was freezing! Due to the weather, we took a fanatastic coach trip (sounds dreadful but it wasn't!) right down to the desert where we did the camel train into the sand dunes- stopped at El Jem (where Gladiator was filmed) then to the troglodyte village of Matma (where Star Wars was filmed) - stayed one night in a hotel in the middle of rocky desert. Next morning (4.00am set off) over the Chott el Jerid which is the salt desert which is stunning, on to the bustling town of Tozeur with fantastic markets and Souks. It was alot to fit in the two days but unforgetable. We have done much travelling and it has to be of the most memorable trips. Alternatively, the medina at Sousse is an experience!

must agree with previous post - the sahara trip is unforgetable - but you do spend an awful long time on the coach.

if the weathers good, there's lots of cheap water sports that the elder kids would love.

around PEk harbour you can also go to sea in a pirate ship, and even a submarine! plus book a camel ride...

Just come back from PEK, Had an awesome holiday.

Plenty to do in and around PEK, Weather was great. About 27` every day.
Plenty of watersports at the wonderful beach, We did the camel caravan, And the pirate ship from the wonderful harbour. and a shopping day out in sousse. Could of done alot more, We are going back in october. So do alot more then.

I read above that someone went on a Sahara Tour? wow this sounds amazing! I am hopefully going to Tunisia in May, and would love to do a Sahara Tour, could someone please tell me how much it is and what you get to do.
