Hi
Going to Malta in a few days and just got some sterling to exchange while we're there but they have writing on the notes, will they still be alright to exchange(went to Bulgaria once and they had to be clean notes).
Thanks.
I wouldn't take the chance. Most countries insist that banknotes are clean with no tears or writing. If you don't have time to go to a bank to change them maybe try a corner shop or supermarket.
