I stayed in Budva some years ago I believe it is now in the Montenegro state. We flew into Dubrovnik and had a brilliant stay. Stunning scenery HOT HOT weather and good value for money. If I was returning I would definitely stay at Sveti Stefan

We went to Croatia for the first time last summer. We booked flights to Dubrovnik and stayed in Cavtat. It was only 30 mins from the airport but we didn't notice any aircraft noise. Cavtat is a beautiful place and not at all commercialised. We booked a self-catering apartment, in the centre with a lovely view. Take a look at Holidaylettings, Ownersdirect, Villarenters, Holiday-rentals for accommodation or just search on Google. We hired a car to collect at the airport and after 5 nights in Cavtat went to Montenegro for another 4 nights. Wonderful places! Have a great time! We're going back this summer for a 2 week flotilla sailing holiday.
