Not sure if you are too late for this year but we went away last year for the 1st ever. Went to Manor House Hotel near Okehampton, Devon. It is not particularly small but has loads of crafty/sporty activities and masses of food. Great for us who need to keep 14 and 9 year old occupied. Mixture of families with young children, together with older people who obviously went there regularly. We immediately booked for this Christmas.

Pippy I have now done this - somehow I got in a muddle with my entertainment rating - which was the most important one as far as we were concerned. I have ended up posting the review twice - one with a 1 star rating for entertainment and one with a 5 star rating. Are you able to delete the 1 star rating one please as it is wrong!!
