thomsons are also out on the 17th april. There is a preview night on the 16th for 2009 summer holidays in our local shop maybe they are doing the same near you-worth a look
They also offer a reservation service for your required brouchure.

Co-op Travel had them all this afternoon - all the main ones and all the specialist/family/budget brochures. Got First Choice, Thomas Cook, Airtours and Thomson. Apparently they were going on sale at 3pm this afternoon.
Don't think the staff at my local Thomas Cook shop knew that! They just said come back tomorrow. And they wonder why so many of us choose to book on the net!
ive tried co-op travel and cant find anything for next year ,,just keeps saying nothing is available
I went in our local Co-op Travel shop and they had all the brochures on display and were very helpful about offering them out (with a carrier bag to take them home in), although she did say some of the tour operators wouldn't have their prices available for booking straightaway, but there was no reason why she couldn't let me take the brochures to research my holiday and then call back to enquire about latest prices in a couple more days.audbod wrote:ive tried co-op travel and cant find anything for next year ,,just keeps saying nothing is available

Interesting to note that, despite the recent mergers, Thomas Cook and Airtours still have seperate brochures for Summer 09, and so do Thomson and First Choice. No Cosmos brochure yet, but they are always quite a while behind the others.
well dont think il be booking just yet .....bit on the expensive side and cant find anything with a free child place

Hi, only thing with Thomson is they don't show you a clear breakdown of the costs when you book online. It was showing a price per person and said it included free kids places, but the cost looked like it had actually charged for the kids. 
Would love to book for next year but I'll have to go and count my pennys first

Just priced the same holiday for next year, £479 dearer than this year but the same price if we go SC. That's gone up an awful lot. 
That was Thomas Cook. Thomsons are only coming up flying from Leeds/ Bradford instead of Newcastle.

Just priced up the same holiday as we are going on this year. (Lara Beach, Turkey). Next year they want £5000+ !!! compared to £2200 this year. (4 adults,3 children) The Hotel/Area is excellent, but not worth that kind of money!!! Denny
I booked today with Thos. Cook. I couldn't book online for some reason but the travel agents mathched internet price. Booked a week in May. I'm away to research summer hols now!!!
ive just looked at portland to get an idea of the price for next year, so i priced up this years holiday same dates etc and its coming out for 3 of over £500 more, no way am i going to pay that, looks like no free child places either , ill wait and see what the flight prices are like and price up diy before i decide

If I had a choice lesley I would like to try and get to the Hemera . Its still expensive but not as expensive as some seem to be . looked briefly on both thomas cook and thomson /portland and im getting just over 4K from both - but some of the others and places in Egypt were nearer 5K . Oh well more of the tescos Value range for my family
