The shack owners are going to approach the Government re sunbeds according to the Herald today.

Times of India are reporting today that all shacks in North Goa, with the exception of those in Baga, can now have 20 beds.

Not sure if these facts have anything to do with sunbeds numbers .one could be hard put to describe a sunbeds as a permenant structure. The encroachment onto the beach is more to do with large shacks built on private land spilling over onto the beach.
The sunbeds scene seems to have settled down, the five bed rule still applies but all shacks have exceeded this. All will be ok I suspect until at Xmas time the greediest shacks will flood the beach again and then the bed snatchers will return mob handed.
The ones really suffering are the massage girls who are having to work indoors behind the scene, making the whole operation to have a seedy feel to it.
