Me and my wife arrived home from the sundream apartments in marmaris yesterday..anyone going there please beware.
we have stopped there for the past 3 years with no problems but there is a new manager and staff.
This year there was a little dog who kept on coming to the apartments doing no one any harm until 2 of the members of staff decied to throw th dog down a 10ft drop where the the filters are to clean the pool..one other holidaymaker went to get the dog which resulted in the dog breaking his leg,the staff members which were the waiters,thought this was very funny...the holidaymaker had to be restrained by the owner of the hotel from hitting the waiter..the incident was witnessed by us all at the hotel..
Then on the 2nd night one of the waiters was accused of raping a woman as she sat in reception one night..she wanted to phone the police but the hotel threatened her...My friend took her to the rep who didnt do a thing.
The whole hotel was filthy and my friend went in the pool and came out with poo all over her bikini,again reported it to the rep who said it was algae..it wasnt algae.
My wife was threatened by some waiters because we refusued to eat or drink there as they were charging 7 lira for 1 bottle of efes where everwhere else you could get 2 bottles for that..the waiters said to her to get out of the hotel until we repotrted to the owner and thomas cook rep as we couldnt afford to pay for anywhere else...the rep was useless.
Then on the 3rd to last night,six turkish lads turned up with machine guns at 6.30am looking for a member od staff.
These incidents werent the only ones..everybody who was staying there we spoke to felt intimated and scared off this place...
I have reported this in resort by filling in a complaint form and i have written a letter by recorded delivery to thomas cook..we have been going to marmaris for 10years and we will still go but not here...we are 42years old and 36year old so are not drunken teenagers..i will write a full review later.
