Can anyone recommend a good sunshade i can use on my buggy for my baby we are off to Turkey in 3wks so i want to make sure he is protected from the sun.
I have just purchased a shade-a-babe and i dont like it so im looking for something different.
Thanks Vicky
when we went to feurteventura, we got caught out by how hot it was,and had to improvise, we had a sunshade rather than a parasol and draped a sheet over it and pegged it on. looked daft but did the job- and very cheap!!!
I recently saw someone with one of these shades which are excellent. They have factor 50 protection, drop down visor 100% UV block and also keep out insects. £30 but well worth it in my opinion.
Glynis that is the shade a babe that im sending back i dont like it atall....you cant use it when asleep at night to keep mozzies out cos apparantley he will overheat so it doesnt do what i want it to do.
thanks Vicky
Oops sorry Vicky - didn't look at the name itself I thought they looked a good idea when I saw one on a child in the Algarve as well.

This is an Aussie site but they are available in UK (just google it). Basically this one is VERY compact when folded up - attaches to pram/buggy with ties and can be adjusted to give as much shade as you do/don't need and just flops back onto hood when not needed. It folds with buggy so perfect for holidays.
As I say we used it on our twin buggy for our twins (then aged 2.5) and they loved it - no trying to pull it off - if we walked direct towards sunlight we pulled it down fully and just adjusted accordingly - best bit about this one is sides are covered too.
Hope that helps, Tis
I think you might need to take a mosquito net as well as a sun shade for the babies buggy Vicky - I haven't seen any sunshades which protect against mosquitos.
I have found one now thats looks good.
The Pepeny one looks similar to the protect a bub
I am also off for a mozzie net today it was at the top of my list!!!!! the other shade i bought had one attached but it was far too thick he would have cooked under it!!
