Howdo all,
Quite a while since I was last here - on the hunt for help again though :-)
This year is my Parents Golden Wedding and they are looking to go to the Torremolinos/Benelmadina area.
They are have been to several Riu hotels in the past and are happy looking at those again however of those in the area the one on Benelmadina doesn't seem to have much of "Vista". The Riu Nautilus (not too far way) doesn't seem to be available on the Thomson website and getting much sense from Riu themselves is nigh on impossible whilst the Riu Belplaya at the Eastern End seems to only offer "limited Sea View" and again I've received no information of use from Riu direct.
I'll search around on here for reviews of the above but aside from these I'm wondering if anybody might be able to suggest some options that might be that would offer that little bit "extra" for such an occasion - superior rooms, sea views yet not too far away from the front/promenade where they can take a strol and watch the world go by.
In all probablity it would be accomodation only as they would be looking at flight only from their local airport.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the Hotel Pez Espada, just a bit further down the promenade from the Riu Nautilus towards Torremolinos.
It's a Med Playa hotel and there's a video in the Costa del Sol Video section of this forum that I made.
The top floors are special suites and they are used by the bride and groom who have their wedding reception in the hotel, plus other Med Playa employee's such as Directors of hotels in the Med Playa group (they all have holidays in each others hotels)
It won't be cheap, but the rooms are almost guaranteed a sea view looking (side view) at Benalmadena Puerto Marina or facing towards Torremolinos.
It's a front line classy hotel, you won't get inside the restaurant without wearing long trousers for evening dinner and you are shown to your table, the guests are mainly mature couples, not nursing home age, just mature
very very few children and no lager louts in this hotel.

the Torrequbrada Hotel in Benalmadena is a 5 star,and i have been told it is lovely there.Excellent shows too.the casino is also there.
