There are lots of supermarkets around Luxor. If they do not have what you need they will normally send a lad off to fetch it from another shop for you! Justask for Nescafe & milk & they will know what you mean. We
always take a travel kettle with us, together with a small jar of coffee & small coffeemate to keep us going till we get to a shop. The green & white cartons of milk are semi-skimmed, blue & white are full cream. I would
advise buying a travel kettle before you go, or at the airport before your flight. Ours broke one year, and we had to buy a full sized one in Luxor.

Most of the supermarkets [if you can really call them that] near the Corniche are just small shops. There are 2 larger ones, one on Television Street past Mr Col's coffee shop & one on Medina Street called Omars. Here you will pay Egyptian prices not tourist prices. You can also buy a relatively cheap kettle at one of the electrical shops on TV Street if you don't want to bring your own. If you need any more info you can always PM me.

From Last Year I think there's one where all the cruise boats tie up outside the winter palace on the lower level of the corniche..........am I correct (where the courtesy hotel boats dock)
