It is possible to book a swimming session with Dolphins at the MUNDOMAR Theme Park in Benidorm in Spain.

You can also view dolphins swimming with their keepers from an underground glass viewing chamber, and the keepers are able to talk to you through special equipment so you can hear a commentary about dolphins. If you want to book a swim with them after this you can do so.

Also take a look at this site:- http://www.sundreamstravel.com/malta/mediterraneo/default.htm

I've only glanced at it myself, but I think the above is in Malta.

And here is another link which may be of interest:-

And here is a UK link....again have I have not looked at the site in any detail but it may be of help to your enquiry:-

Hi

Can someone tell me how good a swimmer you need to be to participate in 'dolphin interaction' experiences offered in various resorts eg. algarve?
Do you have to be able to tread water?

Thanks :D

Hi,

When we swam with them in Mexico we were given life jackets, dont remember being asked if we could swim or not. I'm not very confident in water at all but was fine.

Hi thanks for that....are you in deep water (where you cannot touch the ground on tip toes) the whole time with the dolphins? I really want to do this but am not a confident swimmer (a couple of widths of our local pool is my lot  )

We couldnt touch the floor, mind you I am only 5 foot so find that difficult even in swimming pools  - to be honest I can swim about that distance myself - I really wouldnt let that put you off, its a great experience.

Thanks for the reassurance....we have been told that you are supplied with a wet suit but no life jackets were mentioned. Do you think a wet suit would give you any bouyancy at all? Please don't think I'm being ridiculously worried, it's just that at £70 a head it's a lot of money to waste....but I really want to be able to. I think in the Algarve it is in the Zoo marine, which I think have specially designed pools but I guess these would be very deep to allow the dolphins to be able to swim freely.
