This is a rather long review, but i think that it is quite descriptive, and i have added things that i think people may find helpful, as next time we go we will know how to make things even better, from trial and error.
On arrival we were both very impressed. It looks stunning from the outside, and because we arrived at night time all the lights were lit up, and we could see the glass lifts on the outside of the hotel were also lit up. It makes a great picture.
The Room
The hotel itself was very clean throughout, as were the rooms. The cleaners came in every day and did a great job. I did request a double bed, but they had pushed two single beds together, which was fine anyway. They didnt have many clothes hangers though, so i would definitely suggest you take your own. The ones they did have were kinda wierd (i wont try and explain), and could fall off easily. However it was obvious they were made like this so you cant take them home with you. I was thrilled with the tv lol, because they had sky sports so i could watch some of the big football matches. The only other english channels though were news channels, the rest german (think). Although in my opinion you dont go on holiday to watch the tv! The balcony had a great view, overlooking the pool and the sea. Quite comfy too, as i slept on it one night, so try not to drink too much

The Food
If you arrive to the hotel late, which we did, the restaraunt for evening meals will have closed away the buffet after 9.30pm. They had kindly put together a meal of cold foods, for us and another couple that had also arrived late. We were impressed with the restaraunt when we went in, but the food was disgusting. It was a selection of cheeses i have never seen before, and cold slices of meat that i didnt even touch after the cheese. My girlfreind agreed, and we was really not looking forward to breakfast the next morning.
But we were very pleased at breakfast! (8.30am - 10.30am)They had a large selection, of hot and cold foods. Sausages (which were gorgeous),fried eggs, beans, fruit, fried bread and lots of other things that i wouldnt know the name of. So if you arrive to the hotel late, and they offer you a cold prepared meal , by all means try it. It might be your taste, but if not dont worry at all. We figured it was just the waitors choice of foods, and not everyone has the same taste of course.
Dinner was great too, they had all sorts of foods so i will only name a few but they had chips every day, sausages, cooked meat, fish, huge selection of salad, selection of bread rolls. There was lots more fancy foods, but i wouldnt know the name of most, and to be honest we ate junk food for the week. Trial and error was the best way in my opinion. Evening meals were also great, they have a menu out a few hours before outside the restaraunt, stating the main meats/fish etc, and certain themed foods. But if you dont like them, you can always have chips sausage garlic bread salad or something similar. I can highly recommend the meat balls, a mix of pork and beef. They were gorgeous. The desserts were very nice also, with a selection of fruit, mouses, cakes and ice cream.
The burger bar beside the pool was open till about 6pm (this might not be exact but i think 6). They had burgers, hot dogs, chips, ice cream and served drinks too. Mainly fatty food there, but it was nice!
To sum up the food, i would say anyone who says there was nothing they liked, is so picky it is untrue. Drinks were also self service inside the restaraunt buffet, wines, orange juice, beer, pop (cola, fanta etc).
The Staff
The staff at the hotel were simply amazing. I was impressed at how well most of them could speak english. They were all extremely polite, it seemed kind of odd at first when your not used to it, i think some of the english need to learn the same manners. The head waitor was very nice, always making sure everything was ok, and would ask about the holiday in general not just the food. The bar staff were great too. If you want a pint of lager though, remember to ask for a beer. I asked for a pint of lager the first night, and he looked at me a little odd. The lager was called estrella, never heard of it before, but it was nice. If you are drinking spirits though be careful, and watch how much they put in. I dont know if its a spanish thing, but they seem to give you a triple every time, very very strong, and you end up drunk on only a few.
The entertainment was ok, i wont say it was great because some nights werent as good as others. At around 8.30 they had a mini disco, then a male and female singer at 9 until 9.30. They were quite good. Then at 10 o clock they had the nights entertainment show. I wont go through each of them, as ive wrote alot as it is, but they had a group of singers on one night called the tramps, who were great. Really good singers, but great entertainers too and really got the audience involved. There was a few other good groups of singers, along with a reptile show which was good, some kind of magician show which was ok, but in my opinion the worst entertainment show... was on the last night... drag queens. I was not impressed. Gay men running around in thongs was not on my agenda, but the women seemed to love it. I just went outside for half hour until they finished. Maybe im thick skinned and sensitive, im not sure.
To sum up the entertainment, it was quite good. It was definitely well organised. Just the last show wasn't for me, maybe you wouldn't mind though.
The pool / beach
The heated pool is nice, especially after lying in the sun for hours. But the unheated pool was absolutely freezing. There was a few people swimming in it though, but i think they must have had severe sun stroke and didnt know what they was doing, it was really cold. The heated one was never crowded though, infact i dont think i ever saw more than 8 people in it at once. Mostly people were just sunbathing (the sunbeds were free of chrage). It was very clean, none of the little insects you sometimes get in pools. How they control that i dont know, but there wasnt any.
The beach as you have probably read in other reviews is a dark burnt sand colour. But its still very nice. Lots of sunbeds (only 2euros for the day) and water sports such as pedal boats, jet skis, banana boats for hire available. The jet ski was 40 euros for 20 minutes, and the pedal boat 10 euros for one hour. The sea was very clear, and not cold at all (and this is in January!). They had different coloured flags on the beach, to let swimmers know how dangerous the waves are: calm, caution, forbidden.
It was always a caution flag when we were there, but to be honest it was still quite calm, i gather they need to be quite safety cautious.
The Weather
Well the weather was fantastic! It was around 30 degrees on average through the week. The rep there told us that you cannot actually get a specific reading for this southern part of the island, because it is unpredictable, and usually around 6 degrees hotter than the rest of the island. There was a nice cool breeze, and without it i would be too hot in my opinion. You need to be careful though, becasue the breeze can sometimes make you not realise actually how hot it is, so i would recommend wearing sun cream even if it doesnt feel hot enough that you should. We couldnt have hoped for better weather. Apparantly september is their hottest monther. I would imagine it is scorching hot.
Just other info i think could be useful
Whilst we was there, we did run into a couple of small things that i think we would do differently next time, so i thought maybe if i posted them here they may be of use to somebody.
This may have been down to our own stupidity, but when we went on the pedaloo, we didnt really expect to get wet.

This might make us sound even more stupid, but we find it funny now. When you hire any kind of boat on the sea, they offer you a free locker for your bags, and give you the key. Make sure you lock it up safely! Watching it sink in the deep water where we was both too scared to get out and swim for it wasnt funny at the time, and the guy didnt look too happy when he had to open the locker with a screw driver either.
Buy water from the spa to keep in your hotel room for night times when no bars are open. Its kind of obvious, but when your all inclusive and can get drinks any time you like, it may slip your mind and it can be quite dehydrating at night when its warm.
Be sure to hire a safety deposit box. Only 8 euros for the week, and although i cant see anything being taken because the staff are so nice, it makes you feel much better whilst your out, and you can totally relax.
We didnt take lots of money because we thought All Inclusive we wont need it, and we didnt NEED it, but there are lots of good trips available. There is a dolphin search we went on, only cost us 58 euros, which included a taxi to the harbour, admission on the boat, a free drink on the boat, and a taxi back to our hotel. That was for both of us, not each. The trip lasts about 3 hours, and they claim an 80% chance of finding wild dolphins. We was unfortunate to see any, but there were guests who told us they had seen about 20 swimming together the day before. I would highly recommend this trip. It was a good day out regardless, and great views of the island from the sea.
There is a suba diving school, which i think is actually connected to the hotel as they used the pool for 1 on 1 teaching, before they could go and do it for real in the sea. I cant remember now the exact price, but i think it was 125 euros, for the training in the pool, then 20 minutes in the sea with a trained diver. We couldn't afford to do this, but i would recommend taking enough money if you fancy doing it. We will be doing next time.
An overall of the holiday, It was fantastic. I am already looking at booking the same hotel for this year in september. Which says how good it is. I wouldnt recommend however for a group of people who want to go out to clubs/bars etc drinking every night, because there isnt many unless you want to get the bus (which is free mind). But we found it to be more of a peaceful relaxing holiday, ideal for couples and families wanting to relax by the pool/sea in the great weather.
Any questions about anything i have missed dont hesitate to ask.
