Difficult as one mans food is another's poison etc.

personally although i never holidayed there, now I live here (Torviscas Alto) I find myself visiting the Parque Santiago area of PDLA very often. Such a lovely feel to it especially at night. it has the newest / largest shopping centre, the fountain & light show every hour, the beach is t'other side of hotels (Mari Nostrum). Loads of the best restaurants. New ones still opening in CC oasis / Americas. Very swish area. It boarders PDLA and LC. Both are walkable along the new prom.

I agree with Makum as we usually stay in the hotels in the Parque Santiago area every time we holiday in Tenerife, although we have stayed at the Arona Gran in Los Christianos, which I would rate as a hotel (at least I would when we stayed there about 4 years ago - don't know what it's like now), but it is just too far from anything as it is at the far end of the resort. We are staying over the other side of the resort this year, near to Puerto Colon so can't say what its like over there.

We have both been to Tenerife before in July time and loved it so we wanted to go back there.
Can anyone please let me know what the weather is like and what the bars and clubs are like as we want a holiday to lay in the sun and let are hair down with a few coctails!

Hi!

Going on holiday in November is nice to look forward to as we all know what the weather is like in England at that time of year. To see the sunshine, to be able to go on the beach etc is a great feeling.
I think most people will tell you that although the weather can be very hot it can be more mixed than July. My experience (and I go out quite frequently) is that you get more cloud. It tends to clear quickly...not like here...that if you get up and the day starts off cloudy then it usually stays that way......no....in Tenerife, the day may start off that way but it can be beautiful the next minute. Whatever, though....it is more often than not....lovely and warm. It can get quite chilly at night and it is important to remember that you do need cardigans etc. (My first year there I did not wear one the whole time I was there. The following year I didnt take one and I ended up having to buy one).
Now, onto the people........You will usually find that the people who are on holiday there in November are retired and many have their own place to stay or have a time share. I dont know where you will be staying, but probably Las Americas will have a more younger age group.
Whatever, it is a great time of year to holiday.....especially just before the Christmas rush!

Hi there,
We were in Tenerife last year in the last week in November and the weather was lovely for the whole week.It was so nice to be away for my birthday drinking cocktails by the pool with 28C weather! As has been said it did get cooler in the evenings
We stayed in Torviscas with 2 small children, so had a family holiday.
It is such a great time to go away - I had never been away at that time of year before and didn't believe it was going to be nice until I stepped off the plane!

Hello. I am planning to visit Tenerife in november, but I am not sure if it is a good time. How is water temperature? Is it possible to swim at that time?:)

Thanks.

I've been to Tenerife at that time and found the water to be very cold. I went in the pool once and that was definitely enough!

Depends where you're staying, a lot of hotels & complexes have heated pools so they should be lovely.

The sea is warmer than the cold pools,
