I love Thasos as well. We have been twice but not for 4 or 5 years now. It is a working island and I enjoyed the archaeology. the old ruins and the marble quarries. I agree, it never seemed to be a party centre, which suited us very well. Being the most Northerly of the Aegean islands, it is much cooler so suitable for walking as well. A beautiful harbour, which is important to me as i like sitting in a bar, watching the boats. A relaxing place to stay and only a short ferry ride from Kavala/ Keramoti.

If Symi disappears beneath the waves (unlikely with the Vigla at 3000ft), I shall always return to Thasos.
