THE 2008 WORLD BUSIEST PASSENGER AIRPORTS

Its that time of year again when the stats for the previous year are released. I know some of you are interested:

No major changes where Atlanta Georgia leads the way yet again with over 90 Million passengers travelling through its terminals. Chicago is second with 69.5Million and Heathrow still in the top 3 at just over 67 Million.

The majority again in the top 30 are from the USA and European interests show Paris CDG at number 5 with 60.8M,Frankfurt at number 9 with 53.4M , Madrid at Number 11 with 50.8M, Amsterdam slips to 14th showing 47.4M with Munich at number 27 (34.5M) and Gatwick still in the top 30 at number 28 with 34.2 Million.

It is Beijing showing a nice rise up to number 8 with 55.9 M.

The figures on yearly and monthly basis are released from the Airports Council International.

Thanks a lot ! Pity they only take the top 30 ... I thought they were doing it for the top 100 previously ?!?
