i remember the 1950's film of the same title.. used actual war footage in son of the scenes
Yes, we watched it too and, having had a few lovely holidays there, found it really interesting.
Watched it enjoyed the scenery not a place I have visited but its on my list

Has anybody read The Kappillan of Malta? it is a fascinating book that I enjoyed along with Air Battle for Malta - The Diaries of a Spitfire Pilot (Lord James Douglas Hamilton) another slightly harder to find small book is The Air Battle for Malta published in 1944 by HMSO and was prepared for the Air Ministry by the Ministry of Information, this was quite an up beat propaganda book.
