Just wondering what walks of life we can expect to find in Sharm?
I know theres a lot of clubs and bars in Naama bay but does this mean there is a predominant 18-30 type clientel around the place or is it really mixed?
Hopeing to meet a lot of nice people out there to pass the time with as this holiday is a celebration of my new found freedom!
we met great people when we went, not really a place for party animals, thankfully, they stick to Magalluf and Ibiza. It is mainly a couples and families place, so you should enjoy.
We met all sorts of people from all walks of life. It wasn't very busy when we went as it was shortly after the bombings last year.
Pacha attracts a few younger club types, but it's not Ibiza Central. You won't feel out of place.
I'm happy to chat to anyone and everyone but have to say some female company would be a bonus.
Found the evenings boring, & said if they had booked a fortnight and not a week they would have been begging Thomas Cook to bring them home.
Their highlight was the day trip to the Pyramids, she said that made it all worthwhile, but they wouldn't go back. Everybodys different though.
We want to Sharm in August this year. We're both in our 40's and look our youngest son whos 11. We met all age groups, 20-60+
It all depend on what type of person you are, as to wether or not the evenings will be boring.
We used to go down to the bar for 7.30 ish, have a few drinks. Eat around 8.30, then back to our rooms by 10 to watch a DVD. After a hard days baking in that sun, in my opinion, you are ready for bed anyway!
If you have nt booked your hotel yet try and get something in or within walking distance of Naama Bay. There is a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from with people of all ages. If you are in one of the larger resorts away from Naama then you will probably not find it so much fun but I guess that would depend on which resort hotel.
i went on my own in Nov last year, and i am in my early 30's and made some good friends, and didnt spend much time on my own, go to Naama Bay, there are a couple of clubs.and also places to chill.
If you are going for nice wine you are going to the wrong place - as I have said before on this forum, HARPIC comes to mind!!!!!! You will find in Sharm that entertainment [if you are lucky] is hotel based, unless you want to venture into Naama Bay - whatever you decide to do you will not feel out of place... enjoy... but think of an alternative drink!!!! A lot really depends on the company in the hotel.
I dont feel intimidated, and did go out alone, and everyone was lovely. There was a perfume shop with a young guy asking for our autograph that locked us in a shop, but we knew not to go to that Bazaar again !
Enjoy
