Is it the 'Sub Zero-G' ?

I got a 19" version for hand luggage with Ryanair.
Only had one trip with it so far but it's looking good and seems sturdy enough.

TJ Hughes have got them too and I'm sure I've seen them on offer somewhere...just checked ARGOS have the 73cm for £24.99 (half price) - not available online so you'd need to check local stock - none anywhere on Tyneside or Teesside a any rate :)

I have often wondered how these suitcases stand up to the handling at airports. :que
I have flown from many UK airports but at Newcastle I know these lightweight ones wouldnt stand up to the handling.

They have a fibreglass 'shell' better than some of the more expensive cases that have revealed compressed cardboard when they 'broke'. Think I got 3 year guarantee with mine.

John,I am thinking about the material floral ones.
These seem to be flimsy but will have a look at the ones mentioned on here as we need new cases.

I take a school trip to Chicago each year and I hold a competition for the pupil with the lightest case. Last time one young lady managed a case that weighed just 11Kg! She wore a different outfit each day of the week and had changes for the evenings. Just goes to show it can be done!

My dad and stepmum went to Tenerife in April and on seeing them with these cases they looked brilliant and they were still light enough even when packed and they do look sturdy enough as my dad explained about the fibreglass stuff. So when the came back I asked how their cases had held up with flying both ways and they siad the cases were brilliant they seen people with other cases who had broke but there's was still in once peice. So i have now got them to get and hubby ones from TJ Hughes and cant wait to use them esp as you will have a wee bit extra weight if you need it lol

I saw these on offer in Argos but can't make my mind up they seem reasonable price but they do not look sturdy. Just wondering how many trips they would last.

I had a good look at these Sub0 G cases in Boyes at the weekend and am not convinced they will stand up to the handling at Newcastle airport!
Only the corners are re-enforced and the rest of the case is material. :que
Our strong Constellation case which we have only used twice was damaged last week on arrival back in Newcastle.
I will stick to my £10 holdall on wheels which only weighs 1 KG.

i looked at these yesterday as i need a new one, i am not convinced they will stand airport handling, so i bought one from the range for £29 31 inch 3 kg, i dont think there is a suitcase out there which is airport proof

Was in Argos at Metro Centre today...out of stock but the bigs ones were available to order for Friday. Only thing is, I've no idea if they will have gone back up to full price by then.

I have the pink and white case from matalan the, light weight sub zero g one. I love it. It has travelled to Africa, Turkey, all over America and it survived Heathrow. Its a great case, very strong and only weighs something like 3lbs when empty. Its made from a special reinforced fibre glass which makes it stronger than the shell ones you can get. Best suitcase I have ever bought. I paid £35 for mine :)

mine stood up well to a battering on holiday.....it weighs 2.7kg on empty, cost £25 i think, half price from argos, and i was very impressed........
