humanist,

The only flight changed to a short haul aircraft tomorrow is listed as TOM374/5 (BHX-MBJ-BHX). Yours is unaffected.

Have a great holiday :cheers :sun2

Hi

My partner and I are flying LGW-HOG (TOM094) on the 29th November, and I believe we'll be flying on a Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). Do you know if it'll be part of the Ex-First Choice fleet? Also, i dont suppose you know if there is a way of finding out what movies will be showing?

Thanks in advance :)

LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM094/5) are operated by a former First Choice 76W. You'll find further aircraft information, including current IFE listing, on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Thanks for the info gents, and thanks for your good wishes about having a great hol Darren The info was not for me, but for my daughter, but sadly thay have been informed of a 24 hour delay. To be honest it is a bit of a disaster as they have scrimped and saved like Scrooge himself to get away and they are pretty gutted.

Any idea what the cover all term "technical reasons" means in this instance, and while Thomson will look after them in the meantime with overniight accommodation etc, for the future will there be any other compsensation on offer?

At the moment all there is, is 250+ people sitting on their cases in Manchester check in hall.

thanks.

Who'll soon be off to local hotels for the day. The reason for the delay is the late inbound flight from Cancun (TOM197) that's not due in until 0720 tomorrow. That's why their flight is delayed 24 hours. The aircraft that should have been used is G-OBYD so I assume it's got a technoical problem in Cancun and is waiting repair.

Hi Darren,

I hope you are well?

Just having a read through as always and saw that someone mentioned about Row 6 being the medical row? We are booked to go to Mexico in December from Gatwick and are booked in premium econcomy. We are in Row 5 on the way out, and Row 6 on the way back, does this mean we may be subject to a move if these seats are required, or is this on a different layout plane?

Hows the repair going on the other one, still looking likely to be in service by end of November?

Cheers in advance.

SAEAGLE,

That's only applicable to the former Thomsonfly long haul aircraft where rows 1-5 are premium, and 6 aft are economy. You'll be on a former First Choice aircraft where rows 1-9 (forward cabin) is premium. I've not heard anything recently about the aircraft repairs other than it should be back in service towards the end of this month.

Hi,

Excellent forum!

I'm flying out to Cancun from Manchester on Sat 27th Nov 2010 (TOM 144), returning Wed 8th Dec 2010 (TOM 197).

Do you have the scheduled aircraft details? We reserved our seats online (Row 32 Window) and the config was 2-4-2 I believe.

Also, what is the issue between Ex First Choice & Ex Thomson Fly planes?? Which is the better??

Thanks in advance.

KarlOz,

Welcome onboard :tup
MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM144/197) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (Winglets, long haul / 283 seats). The ex-FCA and ex-TOM 767's are essentially the same in the long haul configuration in terms of seat pitch and seat facilities. However, the premium cabin has subtle differences and the economy cabin is 2-4-2 in the ex-TOM rather than 2-3-2 in the ex-FCA, giving a bit more elbow room. There's not much in it though. Most prefer the ex-FCA, including myself but I'm sure you won't be dissapointed with the ex-TOM product. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including aircraft photos, seat plans and IFE listings.

Hi Darren,

As always thanks for your prompt response.

Do you know if Thomson have re-stocked up on their amentity Kits yet, as heard a few people saying they did not get these. Not so much for me, but know that will be the 1st thing my wife asks.

Cheers

Cheers Darren.

Wont be any good for us then. Imagine the wife will want me to buy her a something in duty free as compensation.

How did they manage to run out? Was it bad planning or just a very busy period?
