Hi does anyone know what plane I will be flying on from gatwick to holguin cuba on the 24th oct? Flight number is TOM094. We have booked rows 23 24 25 26 seats A+B. I'm hoping these have windows on them. Most of the front of the plane was already booked. We are getting married over there :-)

noooooobs,

LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM094/5) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Those rows have windows.

That's up to you. They are on sale but you can take and use your own if you like. You'll just need an adapter.

Thanks Darren, I've just read a few of your trip reviews. They make for some good reading and are very detailed. So it will be the 767 Which is the less cramped version which is great news :-)

Hi Darren,

Please could you let me know which plane I will be flying on from Birmingham to Paphos on 31st August flight number TOM7352?

I'm a bit of a nervous flyer so any information will be great!

Thanks

Hi Darren,

Thank you so much for your quick reply! I've checked out the seating plan and it seems the B757-200 only have 41 rows but we have booked seats 43H and 43G both there and back. When we were choosing our seats the formation was 2-4-2. Could the planned plane have changed since we booked (about 6 weeks ago)? The reason I ask as I mentioned I'm a bit nervous flying and have to have an aisle seat which is why we pre-booked.

Thanks again

chewett19,

It's looking like a schedule change in that case and it's been upgraded to a short haul configured Boeing 767-304/ER (328 seats / winglets).

I have just had a letter from red sea holidays explaining that the pre-bookable food option is no more and all flight food with the exception of crisps, pringles, tea, coffee and beer etc will still be readily available but at the usual extra cost.

In other words the hot food customers order to eat is no longer, and they are stopping it in November this year. I was told by red sea holiday specialist that thomson are trying to cut costs and therefore the flight will be like so many now like a budget airline where customers choose what they want. I assumed this was for Egypt, but the specialist told me it is all flights to all destinations.

I had not actually lost anything because the meals were in the red sea price, so no refund to me. But i wanted to let you all know in case you have to get refunds back.

This has been advertised since may 2011 so I'm not sure why they have only just told you.

Possibly because my holiday isnt due until November, i am not at all bothered as i never eat the inflight food in any case, but it was included free with Red Sea Holidays, and i booked this holiday last year.

My parents are flying with Thomson in November and they know nothing about this. I will need to speak to them.

It depends which tour operator they booked with if it was a tui company it has as I said been advertised since winter 2011-12 season went on sale but others have obviously decided not to pass information on e.g Thomas cook/travel agents/independents

What are people's opinions of the day before check in that Thompson offer at LGW? we are considering using this as we drive up from the southwest and stay in a hotel overnight and leave for the airport at 5am. So no lugging bags into Hotel then out of hotel then onto taxi and so on lol.

nooooooobs, if you are staying o/night before holiday DEFFO worth checking in day before - gives you an extra 1.5 hours in bed before your flight,no queueing with stuffed suitcases, plenty of time to have breakfast/cuppa before going to the gate.
The only downside is that you have to take all members of the party and all luggage ( inc. hand luggage ) to the check in - last time they wanted to weigh all our hand luggage as well. Mind you. not sure what good that is,as you could go back to the car/hotel and repack your hand luggage with extra I suppose!!

We find that Gatwick at ~ 6:00pm is best; not many people about waiting to check in but still early enuf to get to the hotel in plenty of time for a shower, drink & dinner.

Brewerdave.

Thats some very handy info there thanks. We will def do it then. So we can take out hand luggage away with us once they have weighed it?

The only down side I guess is all the other passengers might have the same idea lol. How do we know which check in to go to for the day before check in?
