Just seen this on thomson teletext page 276 first choice holiday village Sarigerme 4* A/I May four share £165 7nts two share £239 7nts Free upgrade to suite.
Thought it might be of interest to somebody
Where is this flying from?
And dates please?
I would take this for the flights only and get as far away from the Sarigerme holiday village as I possibly could, Remembering last years awfull mess with that place.
Look on teletext page 276 and give the number a ring.
They are probably selling it cheap because no one is booking it due to the horrors of last year.
If that is with flights it is well worth it. When I stayed there two years ago it was perfectly fine and for the price how can you argue. Depends if you are a snob I guess, but under Iberostar, the Tropical was superb.
If my kids weren't doing exams at the moment I would of booked it, four of us £660, couldn't get the flights for that money let alone A/I hotel with free upgrade to jacuzzi suite thrown in as well.
Also I think it was the year before ie 2007 that the reviews were pants.
Last year 2008 it started coming through with good reports and it has started getting 'returners' which is always a good sign.
Provided people know they are booking a Brit style First Choice holiday village, with all that entails, before they go, they don't seem to have problems. It's just that a lot of Turkey snobs like to look down on places like this and can't cope with the fact that some people like them. Each to their own that's what I say. Their money their choice. May not be for everyone, but they certainly suit lots of folks.
Apparently the pools and slides there are out of this world and kids love em. At that price if I was looking for Turkey this year I might be tempted.
Doe
Last year their were horrific problems at Sarigerme July and August where many holidaymakers caught a virus.
Opps! must have got by me that one as I don't follow that thread. I knew it had problems on opening and in its first season but thought it had got over them.
Well i booked this last may and the same holiday is now over £700 more!!... so i say it does pay to book early
Well i always like british holidays but got fed up with the weather so yes..... i do like british holidays
I'm sure you will have a great holiday there ndshelton, I really wouldn't take any notice of the gloom and doom merchants on this forum.
Thanks Doe,im sure i will... we went to turkey lasy year and it was full of russians but we still had a good time.... lol
i do sometimes wonder what ppl expect from a holiday.... to many british ... to mant foreigners
LOL. I know, I'm like you not sure what folk expect, they are going on a package holiday. Just read on another thread that the food at hotel I went too was no good. Unless things have changed drastically since I went there it's a hotel that is particularly noted for it's good (buffet style) food, loads of choice, good and hot, perhaps there was no pie and mash or they spend every night at The Ivy when at home. Who knows.
One of the best family trips we have had, £1700 for family of 5 , for 2 wks AI.
Yes Butlins in the sun at times ,, Yet It didnt take much effort to change the style of the holliday.
The only bad points for us where RUDE waiters and/or bar staff. You cant have it all not for £1700 All in.
Would I go back YES. For £1700,, AI for a Family of 5 I would.
Great food and loads for the kids ( butlins style).
The village of Sarigerme is a good wee place to visit also,
Its a place worth visiting if you can get a good deal. ( Just to say Got the t-shirt type of thing.).
That sounds like a good deal to me. Go for it.

Have you ever stayed here
hi travelled to the holiday village last june with my husband.Stayed on the orange side and had a really good holiday. Rooms nice and always cleaned to a good standard. Grounds lovely, never had any probs with staff and the food wont always be to everyones liking but theres always something you can eat. The entertainment geared towards kids but you can go to the other bars just for a drink. we payed under £600 for 2 of us and we liked it so much we are going again in 2wks with other members of our family. I know there was probs with some sort of awful virus in high season last year but i would presume FC will have done everything possible to prevent this happening again. I bet there is a lot of ongoing compen claims from last year and doubt theyll be wanting to have to pay out this year. Weve only payed £312each for 2 jacuzzi suites in a lovely resort and cant wait to go back. Some people on this site are talking about this place like its the dirtiest place on earth. Im wondering if theyve been!!
Went the first year to holiday village 2 aduts and 3 childrem, we didnt contract anything loads of folks jumped on the bandwagon think this bandwagon has not gone away, if you can get a good deal go for it
And it was a spotless hotel and the food was the best we'd had at a hotel and that came from my Mum who is fussy about meat being cooked correct etc. I think people blow things out of proportion.
