Thomson has opened its brand new flagship shop outlet, using new technology such as virtual reality headsets to 'bring the holiday to life for customers in store'.
Thomson's latest next-generation store, at INTU Merry Hill, Dudley, has been designed with feedback from staff and customers.
Digital interactive and touch-screen maps have now been rolled out for use by all customers at every stage of the customer journey rather than there only being one at the front of the store.

People now pay a sizeable chunk on a holiday and in today's world we really want to see what it's going to be like rather than just a few pictures .
There was a programme on recently, estate agents on the Costa Blanca, & one of them were introducing VR. Showed the son scanning the Villas with his camera, then the clients seated in a little room with the goggles on looking around the accommodation, They loved it! 👍
