I've booked accommodation at Tivoli Arade in Portimao.
During the booking I was asked the age of my children and found that I could not enter a number above 9. I hastily presumed that this was an administrative glitch, and booked both boys in as 9, although one is in fact 11.
Thinking about it the next day, I thought that it was probably more to do with the half board part of the booking, and that I should have booked my 11 year old as an adult, and thus paid more for him .(The fact that his younger brother eats far more than him is irrelevant, I guess!)
I have written to the reservation team, but have heard nothing.
Does anyone have similar experience or any advice to offer - I don't want to turn up and be turned away, or be faced with extortionate excess charges.
Any help appreciated.

Have you booked direct or through a travel agent or tour operator?

Hi, Why not go through the process of booking again on alpharooms & putting 4 adults just to see if there is any price difference,. You can do this just to check prices without going further to book - hope that makes sense!! If no difference there shouldn't be a problem. Worth a try.

I have just talked to the reservation team, who have amended the booking to 3 adults and 1 child, at an incresed cost of 35 pounds.
So all is resolved. Now I can relax and look forward to the holiday!
