You will find that tobacco/ciggies are sold at a set price all over. You may be able to save a couple of quid if you buy thousands at any one time.

Gozomark we are going to Malta from the UK and coming back to the UK, but want to get some tobacco in Malta to bring back here to the UK, so would it be cheaper at the airport?

Hi Eastpoint, did you know that Malta has a complete public smoking ban same as we now do in the uk ?, only difference is that forward thinking magnificent Malta implemented it a few years ago way in advance of backward thinking boring old england.

Yep they have a smoking ban but its weird as in all the hotels we have stayed in since the ban in Malta they still allowed smoking in the bedrooms.
I think the smoking ban applies to public areas whereas your bedroom is your personal space for the time you have rented it, I must say that it would not be a bad thing for such a ban as last time i stayed at the palm court the previous tennant must have smoked in his sleep, the pillow and matress stunk like an old fag end for days.
Yes, I do know that Sliema2 - it is the same in Spain. Thanks for pointing it out though.
