A great day out is La Gomera, it is the island that you can see from Tenerife.

Your better to book this by trip, you will see it advertised at loads of tour ops.

You get picked up and taken to the ferry at los c, make sure you book the trip with the fast ferry, which is the fred olsen one.

Then you are taken round la gomera by coach and then have lunch whilst over there.

Then your dropped of for an hour in san sebastian the capital then back to Tenerife.

it is a long day starts early around 8.00am then finished around 7.00pm

But it is a great day out and you see some fantastic sights.

You will also get a demonstration of the whistling language used by the locals. It is rumoured that the language was developed when the Guanche had their tongues removed by the authorities for misdemeanours. The language is called El Silbo Gomera.

At the lunch don't be put of by the look of the food it is delicious.

When we had the builders in at work (resort revamp) 2 years ago in Fanabe, one senior bloke whistled his instructions to his labourer, who duly disappeared and then reappeared with a bucket / drill / hosepipe / etc.
