My partner and I are planning to go to Florida for 2 weeks in early September 2008 and are looking for accommodation at a good price.
I've been to Florida quite a lot with my parents and sister when I was younger, but this will be our first time going on our own, just us two . Previously I've stayed at Hapimag - Lake Berkley through Travel City Direct on a few occasions and really love it there but with just two people it's a little expensive. However, I've recently found a website called direct-holidayvillas.com seemingly offering allocated on arrival villas/townhouses at quite a low price at around £520, and that seems to be the amount for the two weeks! They offer villas in different areas, such as Central Kissimmee area villas and then within each area it lists the possible "communities" or "gated resorts" you could be placed on (one of which is Lake Berkley...YAY!! ) but I've never been to the other communities that are listed such as Bass Lakes Estates, Eagle Pointe, Indian Pointe. So I've got a couple of questions that maybe someone might be able to help with....
1. Has anyone used the direct holiday villas site before? Are they trustworthy?
2. Does anyone know if the price they are offering (£528) is for the two weeks or is that a weekly price?
3. Has anyone stayed at the Bass Lakes Estates, Eagle Pointe, Indian Pointe or Terra Verde (I've seen that one advertised on quite a few sites too, and it looks nice) communities before? And were they any good?
Thanks very much in advance for your help
Warm regards
Sian
Have you tried any Web Sites such as Orlandovillas.com which allows you to deal direct with Villa Owners. That way you can book a specific Villa and get information and feedback from the Owner

Thanks for your speedy reply! I've had a look around quite a few of those sites where you contact the villa owner directly but can't seem to find one that can beat the price that I found on direct-holidayvillas.com, so I just wanted to check if anyone has used that site before just to see if it's trustworthy or too good to be true.
Thanks very much
Sian
We've stayed here in Emerald Island twice and can highly recommend it :
We stayed in bass lakes about 5yrs ago and were very pleased with the standard of the villa.
We've stayed at Eagle Point twice and would do so again, I think Indian Point is next door so to speak and very similar. Handy for everything including Walmart.
Thank you very much for all of your replies, you've really helped. We're going to book at the weekend...I'm really excited!!
I have booked a villa a "WDW Executive Plus Home", i cannot find any real details.
I suspect this is just a term used by the particular tour company you have booked through, with no real meaning, except that if they offer different categories of villa, then obviously the more expensive are better equipped. If you say who you booked it through, somebody might have experience of that company's villas for you.
