I'm hoping someone can give me some help and information. I'm going to Tuscany in the first week of September, staying in a villa near Peccioli. I'd like to visit Florence, but I believe car parking in Florence is difficult, so was considering getting the train. Can anyone tell me which is the nearest train station to Peccioli? Do the trains all go into the central station at Florence? I've been trying to navigate the trenitalia website but without much success!
Thanks

It takes 70 Minutes, costs 5.5 Euros single, and all trains go into Florence terminal station.
It is a simple matter to purchase tickets simply use the machines on the stations which are in all major languages.
But most importantly you MUST validate the ticket before travelling, by inserting it into the orange machines on the platforms.
Thanks Manky, that's really helpful. Sounds quite straightforward if I can find the right station.
