You'll have no problem getting a taxi to/from the airport to Lindos even in high season though you're right it is quite pricey at 48 euros.

I know some tour ops will let you book a transfer if you're on their flight. If you're on a charter it might be worth asking.

I don't know if you're thinking of hiring a car while you're on the island but if you arrange to collect and/or drop off at the airport this can be much cheaper than taking a cab. Small cars start from around 20-25 euros a day.

If you're worried about the return taxi you can also book a cab for a specific time. I'm sure your accommodation owner would do this for you or there's a local taxi driver called George that likes doing the airport run and is happy to take bookings. I'll PM you with his phone number.

Hi dont worry there are always a huge amount of taxis at the airport and in Lindos to get you back. We normally pay 45 each way.
