The latest of a series of strikes against government economic policies begins this week.

There will be a total shutdown of the national rail network tomorrow, 8th November. Serious problems are also expected on Friday 11th with minor problems on 9th, 10th and the morning of the 12th. Also badly affected on Tuesday 8th will be the Lisbon and Porto metro systems, city bus networks and the Tejo/Tagus ferries.

The national long distance, regional and most local bus networks are not affected.
