We are going away to Mallorca in August
2 years ago we took Euro travellers cheques but another holidaymaker reccomended in getting our cheques in sterling then changing them up into euros whilst over there
can anyone reccomend which may be best ?
Also is it worth using a currency card instead of cheques, and should we go sterling or Euro for that
Many thanks
Elaine x
Hi Elaine .... I would recommend Sterling Travellers Cheques as opposed to Euro Travellers Cheques ...
Thanks David !
For info the exchange rate in Magaluf at the moment is 1.42 euros to the pound with no commission charges for cash exchange. Generally I find the best rates are to be found at the Travel Agents next door to Woody's Internet and Cafe Bar (great breakfasts!) on the first floor just up from the Piano Bar.
