I think Kosmar are good value for money. We travelled with them last year to Parga for a week and had no complaints whatsoever. We have booked for 2 weeks in August for 2 adults and 1 child for under £1200. None of the other tour ops came anywhere near this price.

I stayed at the Kalisti Apartments in Kardamena a couple of years ago through Kosmar and they were the best apartments I have ever been in. Absolutely huge!

Alot of the Kosmar apartments seemed to be small blocks were the owner actually lived in one of the flats.

Only seen the rep at the welcome meeting - never to be seen since, but no problems so that was fine for us!

This will be our second time of traveling with Kosmar and thus far we`ve had no problems the rep was at our apts when she said she would be which was every day we`ve just booked 2 weeks on corfu next year with them 2 kids and 2 adults in july/august £1500 wich i didn`t think was to bad when most other tour operators where wanting £400-£500 more

Is it common place for Kosmar to change their flights at the last minute? It seems reading through past threads that it's almost expected. I'd be slightly put off from booking with them if they were say to change a day flight to a night flight. I don't mind a few hours here and there but not 12 hours.

Kosmar are great. I've always been away with Kosmar apart from last year when we made the mistake of going away with Golden Sun. It was a nightmare! The properties were absolutely disgusting, not even bearable! (Skiathos - The Belvedere Studios) After a lot of complaining and being moved from one place to another, we were moved to a Kosmar property which was fabulous! I am going away in a few weeks with Kosmar - I wouldn't think about going away to Greece with another company!

if you read terms and conditions on Kosmars web site they talk about changing of flights and one thing they say is that brochures when printed only give an estimate of flight times, you can phone Kosmars customer service with your holiday ref: to get oyur flight times accurately rather than waiting for your tickets the week before, and if they change from a day to a night thats a big change and you get compensated or can change your holiday i think, anyway worth a read, but i still think Kosmar are great

I have been travelling with Kosmar to Rhodes and Santorini and they are hard to beat on price....the accomodation does tend to be the basic basic Greek kind but it's all clean. Mnnnmmm, the flights..well here's our experience..!!!! The flights changed at least 5 times before we went....they still didn't have the time right on our tickets and I had to ring the airport to check the flight was the right one on the day!!! We were delayed going out to Rhodes by about 3 hours but there were severe thunderstorns that night, fair enough....on the way back home, we were bundled into the coach and told East Mids flight had bad news..we all thought, another delay but no!!!! we were leaving an hour early......!!!!! it was a massive rush through check in etc, hardly no time to do the duty free and it was late taking off than it should have been....not very good experience. Going to Santorini, we were meant to fly from Bham, Bham flight programme got cancelled, not enough demand for the flights, so we flew from Manchester...added cost to holiday as had to stay in a hotel overnight.....saying all that, I'd still go with Kosmar again..but be wary about the flights!!!!

Prior to last year I would have agreed that Kosmar were great and good value......but having had to change our dates they charged us double and added on the "second brochure" price! plus they added "under occupancy" charges that the owner knew nothing about!.. we ended up paying a lot of money over the top for our two weeks.. after using them for 10 years loyalty counted for nothing despite many phone calls and letters... They don't give a S**t once they have your money They also promised to "lay on something special" for our wedding in Greece in 2000 and guess what? NOTHING!!! A BIG disappointment
This year we are travelling independantly and are getting three weeks for less than what we paid for two last year. Don't think I will ever use them again

We're going to Skiathos in just over 3 weeks with Kosmar, went last year as well. Accomodation is fine (Bourtzi Hotel, skiathos town). Our flights got changed from times on our tickets to 3 hours earlier, then got delayed by nearly 4 hours flyingout! The plane from Bristol is Islands flug (part of excel) and is really basic, no entertainment at all and bit scruffy seats etc. Our flights have already been changed this year from 0600 to 1000, so its more just irritating than anything. Overall I've no real complaints about Kosmar, it just seems they can't seem to fly on time!!

we leave for Skiathos from Gatwick on 1st July and Excell have tried to change our flight times from 06:30 to 12:30 when we went to travel agents we refused to except the time changes they then got us on a Excell flight leaving at 06:00?? and then tried to charge us a booking fee strange ??

This is always a problem when the tour operator does not own its own aircraft. Its not just Kosmar but lots of others aswell. All part of the thing with paying a cheap price with Kosmar is that flights WILL be changed.

This is one of the reasons we will not book with Kosmar anymore. We have had to cancel a holiday in the past with them simply because the flights were being changed left, right and centre!! It is a shame because they do have the largest selection of accommodation in the Greek Islands.

It just makes arranging things like airport drop off and pick ups, car hire, getting cat into cattery etc. far more hassle when the flights can be changed at the drop of a hat.

Hi we have just got our tickets to fly out on Sunday 12th, when we booked flight times were 1155 from Manchester, arrive 1730 heraklion coming home 1830 26th arrive 2015 now they are 1045 depart arrive 1630 not too bad, but coming home depart 0800 arrive 1005 so we have infact lost 10Hours, our travel agent has said either they or us should have been notified(neither were notified) so they are getting in touch with Kosmar. We have travelled with Kosmar for many years now and this is the worst time changes we have ever had, will await their reply via my travel agent.

I travelled with Kosmar to Corfu in 2001 and they we're really good. The accomodation was very clean and tidy and had everything required for a good holiday. The reps were very helpful and not in your face trying to sell you their excursions. Have a nice holiday

Just back last week with Kosmar (first time), and no faults at all.

Very laid back and no pressure at all from the reps.

Well looked after apartments (Ioli village, Pefkohori), and got what it said in the brochure.

All in all 8/10, well done.

my mum and dad have just come back from crete with kosmar - first time with them - they had no problems at all and would be quite happy to book with them again

we went to kos with kosmar in october for one week. flights were a problem went fron east midlands had to land at new castle and get off the plane!! want a hour then board again. no seat numbers so it was a dash for a seat together!. hotel was very nice and food etc no faults there. next problem on the tuesday(we arrived on the sunday) our rep told us our flight had been cancelled to east midlands, this was a real pain as our daughter is not a good traveller only 8! we had to flight to gatwick airport then a coach would take us to east midlands. this was a very long journey for us with being night flights too.

I have read all the posts and I cannot believe that Manos has not been recommended. We have used both Kosmar and Manos over the past 6-7 years. Kosmar as stated are cheaper than most of the other tour operators, but you tend to get what you pay for. Accomadation with Kosmar is very basic and tends to be on main roads. As people have stated flight times are constantly changed. One of our requirements on flights is early departure from say Gatwick ( 6am ) and early departure from greek airport ( 11am-2pm ). This ensures that you leave your apartment early and there's no hanging around in resort.
Manos accomadation we have always found to be superior i.e. larger rooms, better facilities and quieter/prettier locations. This year Manos wrote to us informing us of building works that could affect our enjoyment of the holiday booked. We had the choice of changing our booking which we did. How many other companies would have done that ? Manos over the past 3 years holidays have never changed our flight times..again pretty good compared with some of the other comments in this discussion. In general the price differential is approximately 10 % extra with Manos. I would suggest that it is a price worth paying for a superior quality holiday.

When I stayed with Kosmar in Corfu the accomodation wasn't basic. If it was so poor they wouldn't be in business
