We arrive at Treviso Airport and need to travel to our hotel at Mestre.

I believe that the best method of transportation is the 'blue' bus which meets Ryanair flights...and you can buy the ticket at the airport. We will be arriving on a Wednesday at approx 14.00..and will be leaving on the Sunday morning. Firstly, can we buy a return ticket to/from Mestre to Treviso?

My second enquiry is regarding the travel tickets. I think I am right in thinking that the Venice Card also offers discounts to museums etc...whereas the ACTV ticket is solely for water taxis?

As we are only travelling to Mestre, we will not need a ticket for the water taxis until the evening. Can we buy one when we get off the train from Mestre...or do we buy them at the airport?

I've also read that some of the tickets are marked in HOURS not DAYS. We were going to buy a 3 day ticket (not sure which one..waiting for your advice!) on the THURSDAY morning...giving us free transport on the waterways for the whole of Thursay, Friday and Saturday. I'm confused as to WHAT ticket is now marked in hours rather than days! Also...we would like to go from Mestre into Venice on the evening that we arrive... I take it then we will have to buy a ticket for every time we want to use the waterways that evening...or can you buy a ticket that will last 4 days? Would that be cheaper? Many, many thanks!
