Have just returned from two week holiday in Menorca, stayed in Son Bou at San Valentin Hotel, excellent as usual. Went to Punta Prima and around that side of the coast for a day out. Had lunch at Manduca Restaurant/Pizzeria - on the front next door to childrens ride on the corner - excellent food and great staff, very welcoming. The new owner is Manuel - anyone who has stayed at Los Palmeros Aparments in S'Algar, will remember him, he was Manager there for years, until this season.
He has now taken over above restaurant, go and see him, he will make you very welcome, and you will have great food.
Menorca is a lovely island, the only complaint I have, is the price of sunbeds and shades on the beaches, seventeen euros for two beds and one parasol! It would cost £148 for two weeks for two. Buy a parasol and two chairs, will cost less than £20, obviously you need car hire to do this, but then a car is a must if you want to see the island. Then pass the chairs etc on to one of your new friends when you leave, we did.
Good luck
Lena
