Not if you're texting or phoning from a Tunisian phone, either your mobile or the hotel phone, If it's from your UK phone you need to put 00216, which is what your friends and relatives will need to do if phoning you. I'm sure you already know that to phone home from Tunisia you need to add 0044 then omit the 0 of the number you're calling., i.e. 02168 ****** becomes 00442168******. Incidentally, if your family call your Tunisian mobile they can use an access number 0911 677 7777 which only costs 13p a minute. Start entering your number as soon as the voice says "Greetings mortal" and finish with #.
Speak to you soon and see you at the Sultana on Tuesday around 12.30.
PS. Thanks Prawn. You and Tammie are both very organised. I never start packing until the night before.

Have a great time everybody, remember to pop back in here when you return and tell us all your tales
Thanks Graham. I rather doubt we'll tell you all our tales, though we might post a few after censoring them.
I know YOU won't be telling me all your tales, however now that we have others going they can tell me exactly what mischief you get up to this time
Thanks Graham. I. knew I could always rely on you to ruin my reputation.
A true story which may raise a smile. An ex-pat I know was asked by a tourist where was the nearest MacDonald's. "Malta!" she replied. Next question: "Can I get a taxi?"
Have a good trip Pat. Try and behave yourself.
Thanks Judith, I am always a good girl despite what Graham implied.

safe journey and ill see you tues, ill ring/txt when I get settled tomorrow . tammie x
My son is picking me up in half an hour to run me to the bus to Stansted, so I'm shutting down the computer now and going to powder my nose. Much to my surprise I'm just a little bit under my luggage allowance, both hold and hand.
Weather has been fantastic so far but a little cooler today. Met up with jimmy and Anne and Tammie and her husband on Tuesday and meeting Jimmy and Anne again tomorrow. For those of you who remember Pittie, she arrives today so will be able to catch up with her as well this time.
Sounds great, all the OLD HT members meeting up in the sun, have a lovely time everybody
Thanks Graham. Unfortunately Dorra doesn't arrive until the day I leave as it would have been lovely to meet up with her again before she moves to Oz!
new to the forum! But love Tunisia!
Went to Yasmine Hammamet last June and we are going to Djerba on the 11th of June!
Anyone been to Djerba?
There are some topics that have had various mentions of Djerba which might be of some help, if you enter Djerba in to the search box at the top right of the page you should find them
Has anybody been recently that can give some help and info?
Graham
Absolutely love Tunisia, cannot wait to get back!
my wife and i are off to pek on the 1st of june for 2weeks she was wondering does it get cool in the evening we have only been in july - aug wants to know would she need cardigan for evenings
I'm in Sousse at the moment and it has been hot all week but almost unbearably so today as there isn't a lot of breeze. It is always worth bringing a cardigan for evenings, though I prefer to rely on the lovely pashminas they sell here & always pack a few.
thanks so much for reply cardigan it is looking forward to returning havent been since the uprising cant wait
