Am going to Club Asteria Belek in June, 2 adults and 2 kids. We normally take insurance through travel agent but this year booked with portland so havnt, does anyone have any advice on who to book insurance through and what it is likely to cost.
Thanks to anyone with advice.
http://www.insuresupermarket.com and compare prices, very simple and some good cheap deals.
We paid 13 pounds for a family of four to Turkey for a single trip.
Go on We paid 13 pounds for a family of four to Turkey for a single trip.
Thanks for link.
Well there are cheaper companies and more expensive ones, people like Halifax who you've heard of in the high street were the next cheapest at 36 pounds, but the lower priced ones were companies in assocation with Moneysupermarket and are reputable, just not as big as the others.
Thanks will check it out.
you can also get the single trip policy if thats all you need but if you holiday more than once a year its probably cheaper to get the annual multi trip

http://www.atlasdirect.net is who i use, really good prices and really helpful if you make a claim. my dad took really ill when he came over to turkey for my wedding and got a refund of £600 as he was in and out of hospital and had to fly home within 48 hours and got his claim back so all in all only lost about £150 which was fab!
I always use JSinsurance.co.uk not made a claim yet but there cover options on the top package gives me peace of mind.
does anybody know any good and cheap insurance companys who cover cancer patients, my mom was recently diagnoised with cancer and she wants to come out to see me in turkey.
I think they all do, but they charge through the nose.
We use Atlas. My mum has high blood pressure and is on Tamoxifen to treat a pre-cancerous condition. I just rang Atlas and paid an extra £19 for her, on top of the £22 it cost to insure my mum and dad together. So just over £40 for a week, for both of them is not bad. Just give them a ring and they will give you a quote.
i have a few good insurance companies in my links on my web site please have a look
thankyou again this has been very distressing for me and my family and she wants to be able to come and see me and mustafa in turkey. it will put her mind at rest if i can find an insurance for her.
I have homecover plus with my mortgage, and this covers me for travel insurance , i am fully covered. It also covers any of my children who still reside at home while they are away.
have booked insureandgo for the last 4 years ,paid 64 pounds for the year for 2 of us ,good value, considering we go away 3 or 4 times a year, thats for european travel.
we regularly book insurance with atlas direct and they are very competitive, thankfully we have never had to make a claim, but try them for a quote.
One of the companies associated with travelsupermarket/moneysupermarket are primary insurance. I took the policy out last year, travelled on it four times and had the need to make a claim in February this year after an ankle injury in Fuerteventura. I sent the claim with all documents when I got back and had a cheque within four days!!! Astounding service when you consider I only paid £46 for the family policy for a year. Can't recommend them enough.
my brother uses them with all his elements
