Urgent help needed....

I would be greatful if anyone has any ideas or help but my girlfriend is 21 on 13 February and we would like to go away to celebrate. My girlfriend has her heart set on going to Sharm El Sheik for a week.

I have looked on many websites and travel agents but we cannot seem to find anything - we only have a certain period that we can travel - 7 nights from either 9th or 10th February (because of work commitments). Can anyone point in me in the right direction of where I can find any good deals.

I realise I have left this to the last minute, but you would be really helping me out and making my girlfriend a really happy person - and saving me some earache!

I will serously owe you guys one!

Hi, you could try Thomascook.com. Never been to Sharm and we prefer more remote areas so cant give much info on this resort but yesterday I booked 2 week holiday from 27 July (school hols) out of gatwick for 2 adults in 4/5 * hotel in Marsa Alam (Deep south Egypt) for a total of £1080 B & B, a discount of £430 from the brochure price!

You didn't say where you wanted to fly from, but Portland have got some availability to Sharm on 9th Feb from Gatwick.

Check this link for deals direct from Longwood holidays. On the face of things - All inclusive from under £400 leaving on 9th, you'll have to follow up for the exact prices though.

Lots of the hotels they name will have reviews in the HT Hotel reviews section for you to see what other people think of them.

it is cheap for food, but imported spirits are expensive... you must stock up at duty free on arrival in Sharm (within the first 48 hours)

B and B will be fine, if you like restaurants out and about.... inc Hard Rock, Pizza Hut, KFC, Mc D.... Chines, Indian, japanese, mexican... pizza and egyptian/lebanese/oriental.

Have a loka t teh places to eat sticky at the top. Do a search on teh sites mentioned, and you can see pics etc. It's up to you, but loads of people return.......

i have just been reading about terrorism that is happening at the moment in Egypt - about the bombing in Al Sah mar Sheik (or however you spell it). Would anyone let this put them off travelling to Egypt at this current time?

I'm not aware of any terrorist activity at the moment in Egypt, I thought July last year was the most recent??

I went to Sharm very soon after those attacks and I'd go again with no hesitation.

Try the First Choice and Eclipse web sites.They are very competitive especially as you can fly from any London airport.

Certainly in the summer they fly from Gatwick on a Thursday. I've just had a look at http://www.eclipsedirect.co.uk but their 'Leaving Soon?' section isn't working properly at the moment :roll:
