Hi all,
Off to the North this Thursday, one week Morjim one week Arpora. Been to most of the coastal areas North and South in the last 5 years but not explored Vagator/Chapora area whatsoever. Will probably spend the odd afternoon investigating.
Questions
1. Good photo opportunities?
2. Quietest beach?
3. Lunchtime eating?
4. Anything else?
5. Any galleries with pics?
I/we not a 'ravers' but like relaxed music and our own space.
We really liked it, it was quiet and not full Westerners. The people were friendly and didn't hassle us much. We got a taxi to the main stand and walked along the beach - not one seller! We had lunch at the place by the main taxi stand, and although the food was really good we felt uncomfortable. The owner took some chairs from another table for us to sit on and they family he took them from were using them! We were treated like the great Western Royalty, more important than the Indians holidaying and visiting, and we really don't like that.
It's a beautiful place and well worth a visit. We went walking for a while but it was so hot we gave up. We wanted to walk to Chapora Fort and as it was so hot we decided to get a taxi but they were charging 100rps and we refused to pay it.
We spend quiet a while chatting to various people from North India who were visiting for Christmas (we went on 26/12) which was great.
We will definitely be going back.
