Hi
We are planning on a trip stopping at Vancouver in Canada, Seattle, Portland and San Francicso. We were thinking of flying to Vancouver, spending 3 nights there, getting the cascades train to Seattle and spending 3 nights in Seattle, travel to Portland using the Coast Starlight to spend either 2/3 nights in Portland and then fly to San Francicso to spend 3 nights there.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what we MUST do/see whilst in these places including where to stay, eat, best methods of travel etc. Any other tips of where we should go/give a miss near these areas would be fab.
Thanks!
Kate

Get to the tourist office down by the cruise dock and get a public transport pass. They also do admission tickets for things like the Capilano suspension bridge which you can get to on the bus/ferry.
Goodfellas cafe does a breakfast that comes on a plate the size of a dustbin lid and includes all the Full English Ingredients plus a full 5 portions of fruit!
The Lions pub on West Cordover street does some great beers (local and international) plus good food. Their Fish and Chips is to die for. Also sports on the big screens if you want to watch.
Gas Town is novel, good for buying souvenirs. The Spaghetti factory there is a chain restaurant but the food is good and the portions are North American!
